**UPDATED**
Daoism and Yijing believe humans came from fish and birds, not monkeys. It actually contradicts Darwin’s Theory. Whether or not you believe in the myths of mermen and mermaids, there is still other things to consider like the similarity of the human embryo to that of a fish and even some fish look like human babies.
In this year’s Qi Gong practice we will learn of the Golden Cocooning – and when we emerge from our cocoon it will be synonymous to the act of descaling a fish; like the silk worm shedding the cocoon to reveal itself as the moth.
In the Taiji philosophy, Yin is a fish and Yang is a bird. The curved line between them symbolizes that the fish and the bird, the ying and the yang, become human.
In this cultivation, the Yang-bird symbolizes how our spirit and soul is going to rise out of us. So from the cocoon, to the emergence out of it, to the transcendence over soul and spirit, only after that can we shed the flesh and transform the bones – the ultimate transformation – after which is us, human.
Daoism requires anyone who practices this cultivation to cyclically train in this every seven years. The same as the practice of putting a crystal ball in the ocean to cleanse.
Benefits of this practice:
Through this cultivation it will enhance your thinking, your soul and your body.
Through this cultivation we need to find ourselves. We need to combine the Bird with the Fish – to press them together to become human. Through this cultivation when you compress the two parts of the taiji it will boost your health, and at the same time you will resdiscover the most innate and natural part of yourself.
Through this cultivation, you can see your future, or rather, you can see some of the correct decisions you will have chosen in the future (because a lot of times not all of our decisions are good ones). Many of our mistakes do not emanate from us, but rather it’s due to many factors, such as the pollution of the earth has clouded us, and the electric fields that surround us that make us lose our sense of direction.
Thus, the supreme goal is the ultimate combination of Heaven, Earth and Human.
The 9 PALACES QI GONG practice represents one of the highest achievements of the ancient Chinese Taoist tradition of Qi Gong. It is an extremely powerful form of breathing, movement and meditation which draws yang energy from the Sun and opens communication with the universe. Qi (chi) is life-force energy, which not only flows through the human body but through all of nature. While practicing
9 PALACES QI GONG, you allow sunlight and Qi in the air to recharge the body like a battery.
9 PALACES QI GONG is a powerful and effective way to increase your energy, manage stress, strengthen the immune system and maintain optimum health. Daily practice brings a calm, relaxed state of well-being and promotes the following:

The liver is one of the body’s most hardworking organs, vital in sustaining life. It stores and maintains proper levels of vitamins A, B, D, iron and copper. It plays a major role in our metabolism, breaking down carbohydrates, proteins and fat. It is also the most important organ for the detoxification of drugs and alcohol. Along with these key storage and detoxification duties, the liver manufactures a host of substances crucial to its continued operation as well as the well-being of the rest of the body, such as bile, vitamin K, fibrinogens and immunoglobulins.
For thousands of years, Chinese medicine has studied the link between the liver and the emotions. The liver has a tight relationship with the endocrine and immune systems. When the liver is stressed or overloaded, a reflexive emotional effect usually is triggered, creating what is known as “heat” throughout the body.
Hepatitis is literally an inflammation of the liver
What happens when the liver cannot perform its natural functions? The liver of a patient with hepatitis often will have its ability to detoxify be severely compromised. The hepatitis virus invades, replicates and causes damage only in the liver. There is no direct pharmacological treatment for viral hepatitis. This chronic progressive disease is characterized by diffuse damage to the cells, fibrous buildup and nodular degeneration. Repeated destruction of liver cells leads to the formation of scar tissue, known as cirrhosis.
Dr. Baolin Wu offers treatment for hepatitis using a combination of herbs with acupuncture. In the past ten years he has treated over five hundred patients with that condition. In that time, nearly 75% of his patients recovered with their liver function back to normal after two months of treatment. The remainder showed, at the very least, moderate improvement. Dr. Wu inherited his methods from his grandfather, the Imperial Physician of China’s last emperor. The course of treatment emphasizes increasing immune response and balancing the hormones to revitalize the liver and protect it from further damage. Treatment also focuses on releasing difficult emotions and adjusting the liver to get rid of the “heat”.
Acupuncture and herbs are natural and easy for the body to metabolize, reducing further load on the liver. By using specific herbs designed to work on such advanced cases, the liver will be aided in its mission. It is most important to take time to let your liver function return to normal. Slowly and surely, a renewed state of health can be achieved. Bring in your blood test results regarding your liver function. We are confident that after a full course of treatment your results will improve. If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact us.

People have all sorts of choices when it comes to healthcare today, but the following classic herbal remedies may mean never having to leave the house to visit the doctor or pharmacist—that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t, however. The following post is simply a compendium of old folk and herbal remedies that may help various conditions. It is not meant to replace the advice of a trained physician, but you may find some great remedies that work well for you.
Arthritis
To help combat arthritis pain, eat cherries and drink cherry juice—lots of it. Another adage recommends arthritis sufferers rub a fresh clove of garlic on painful spots.
Burns – 1st Degree
For first degree burns, try apple cider vinegar poured directly over the burned area. If you just burned your tongue, rinse your mouth out repeatedly with cold water and place a few drops of vanilla extract on your tongue.
Colds
No one wants a cold and the sooner you’re rid of it the better. If you’ve got one, place a clove of garlic between your tongue and cheek. Dig your tooth into it every now and then to release some juice. The garlic will help thin the mucus produced by your cold as well as kill off the bacteria.
Corns
To remove corns, try rubbing castor oil on it a couple times a day. It will soon peel off revealing your smooth skin.
Cough
Have a chronic cough? Some herbalists say drinking tea prepared from violets is an excellent remedy. Also, try gargling with it to sooth a sore throat. For a hard dry cough, anise, used in many lozenges, is a good remedy.
Corns
To remove corns, try rubbing castor oil on it a couple times a day. It will soon peel off revealing your smooth skin.
Depression
Mild bouts of depression might be peeled away with a couple of bananas a day. Chemicals such as serotonin found in bananas may help ward off depression.
Diarrhea
The runs, fondly and formally known as diarrhea, may be relieved by eating a grated apple. Blackberry juice or wine may also help cure the problem.
Fever
For fevers, eat grapes and drink diluted grape juice throughout the day.
Gas
To relieve gas, drink a strong cup of peppermint tea.
Headache
In the case of certain kinds of headaches, a few strawberries may work wonders; they contain organic salicylates—similar to the active ingredients in aspirin.
Hangover
You’ll hear lots of folks tell you how to cure a hangover, but that cure is somehow still illusive for many. Try adding 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to a glass of water and swilling it down.
High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is as common as it is dangerous. It can’t hurt you to try eating two apples a day whose pectin may help the condition. Also, eat garlic raw in a salad and be sure to cook with it as well.
Insomnia
To ease insomnia, try drinking a glass of warm milk mixed with two teaspoons of honey.
Kidney Infection
To help remedy kidney or bladder infections, try drinking pure cranberry juice.
Morning Sickness
Tea made by pouring boiling water over peach tree leaves is a Chinese herbal remedy used to treat morning sickness.
